When you're sitting in the car wondering if the person in the next car over in traffic thinks that you've lost your mind because you are seemingly laughing hysterically to yourself, or sitting in the parking lot at your destination waiting for us to finish a topic, silly phone call, interview, game or conversation.....We are right there with you. And with you all the way. We know how crazy life can be....and we want to be your goofy, chubby, best radio-friend refuge from the harsh reality of being pulled 100 different directions by your spouse, kids, boss, coworkers, etc.

By the way...because EVERYONE asks us.....We met in 1996 in Baton Rouge, La., where Big D was hosting a morning show and Bubba was hosting afternoons. We immediately hit it off, both on and off the air, and ended up pairing up to co-host a show together at the ripe old ages of 24!
I'm a Michigan native but I first came to the beautiful north in 1989. Even though I spent most of my time in radio playing other kinds of music, I'm most impressed with the passion and appreciation Country music fans have toward their favorite performers especially Big Country listeners. You guys are simply the best. My wife Brandy and I live in the straits area and we have 2 boys, Gabe and Eli. We love having movie nights together and in the summer we hang out with the family at the "old" country cabin on Mullet Lake.

I've been in radio since 1987 after graduating from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Art and of all of the formats I have worked, this is my favorite. I love Country Music....everything about it, the artists, the songs, the concerts and especially the listeners! My favorite artists include Garth Brooks, Tim McGraw, Rascal Flatts, Miranda Lambert, Blake Shelton, Keith Urban....well, too many more to list! When I'm not working, I like to watch movies, read a good mystery, kayak, bike ride, hang with my family, camp, and sing karaoke.
